: 00 it is official, folks! CyanogenMod 7 is deemed to be sufficiently stable to well called, stable. In Rome, is now available for your pleasure of over 30 blinking devices – including some tablets. Don't worry, it does not disappoint; I've used it through the development process for months and it is well worth the wait.If you have not followed the updates on the progress, here is a quick summary: it is based on Android gingerbread, it has 2.3.3 built-in root access with all of the command-line tool goodies, Apps2SD capacity (native), Incognito mode for Android browser, built-in CPU frequency tuning and scaling (including overclocking and the election of the Governor), loads of UI improvements and interface tweaks, OpenVPN and SIP requires inst?llningarUSB/WiFi/Bluetooth tethering, FLAC support, a FM Radio player and lots of other features and improvements.
It has also been given a one-click UI theme-switcher that T-Mobile has contributed to the development (open source, less).
Even if you are not in blinking custom CDs on your expensive new smartphone, you need to recognise that this release is a fairly big deal ... It means a fully functional version of Android 2.3.3 is running now, with plenty of bells and whistles, approximately 30 units whose manufacturers and carriers are simply too lazy to update.
