Recent discovery is Aero in Windows 7 that automatically adjust to match your current background image. It is a little like what Windows 7 already do with your taskbar icons: If a warning message if the application requires your attention, the icon will glow with the dominant color (e.g. Firefox should warm orange).

Over at CodePlex is a small program called Aura that Parks itself in the system tray and automatically adjusts the window borders to congratulate your background images. The effect is pretty nice, and you can try it out by minimizing your windows and go through your theme wallpaper (right click the desktop and select Next desktop background).
